Spec Workspace (Version 1.7)
The Specification Workspace 1.7 release is focused on providing consistency in reviews management, improve trackability and provide visibility into ongoing reviews
- Added BTI to BQRB document hand-off capability:
- BTI Committee can now send documents to BQRB from the BTI committee page. This is similar to how BTI sends documents to BARB at present. The same functionality is being extended for BTI-BQRB document handoffs.
- Made enhancements to the ‘All’ tab on ‘Project Sites’:
- Ability to create review requests for Group or Committees from the ‘ALL’ tabs under the Reviews section.
- The ‘All’ tab will now be the default landing page to help provide a quick glance status of all ongoing project reviews.
- Made enhancements to the ‘Submit A Review’ screen:

The Specification Workspace 1.6 release enhances the review tracking experience on Working Group Pages and Project Pages. Additional details of review requests can now be tracked by Working Group or by Project.

What’s New
Spec Workspace (Version 1.5)
This release adds functional support in Spec Workspace and the Errata tool for upcoming and future specification deprecation and withdrawals. Other enhancements will make managing review requests easier for committees.
- Members are now warned when downloading a specification with a known upcoming deprecation date.
- By default, review requests with a ‘Review Complete’ status are hidden in the Reviews & Tasks table on Spec Workspace committee home pages.
- A Create Vote button has been added to the Reviews & Tasks area of committee pages in Spec Workspace.
- The Deprecated Specs and Withdrawn Specs dashboards have been replaced with an Archived Specifications.
- All adopted specs that are not the latest version have been moved to the Archived Specs dashboard, along with all deprecated and withdrawn specs. These late version adopted specs can be identified by their “Legacy” state.

Spec Workspace (Version 1.4)
This release adds dashboards for deprecated and withdrawn specifications as well as white papers. It also adds new functionality and fixers that members have requested.
- Dashboards have been added for both Deprecated and Withdrawn Specs.
- A White Papers dashboard has been added to Spec Workspace.
- A new ‘Completed, Changes Required’ review status has been added, as well as colors for all statuses.
- Specification documents can now be added to a BTI review request. Previously, only documents in the Test Specifications tab of the Documents module could be added to a BTI review request.
- Documents in the Reviewed Documents tab can now be added to any review request.
- Review task completion now result in a notifications (with attached document) to members of the associated work group, allowing them to immediately begin making any requested changes. Previously, this notification only went to committee members.

- A bug wherein long document titles where being truncated in the Review Request dialog has been fixed. Clicking on the document name now displays the full name as a tool tip.
- A bug that caused an ‘Unable to display…’ error in the Reviews module has been fixed.
- The ‘Description’ field in task review dialogs has been renamed to ‘Comments.’
- A bug wherein the number of NWP supporters was wrong has been fixed.
- The work group chair reflector (bab-chair@bluetooth.org) has been removed from BARB review notifications. Work Group chairs are already on the BARB main reflector and were receiving duplicate email notifications.
- A new control was implementing, fixing a known menu scrolling issue in the Adopted dashboard.
- A bug causing review due dates to display one day late has been fixed.
- A bug wherein review task completion dates were not displaying has been fixed.

What’s New
Spec Workspace (Version 1.2)
This release adds full process support for new work proposals. Not only can new work proposals be submitted, reviewed and approved in Spec Workspace, member companies can vote to support proposals there. This release also incorporate several committee review enhancements that surfaced during the latest round of face-to-face meetings in Santa Clara, CA.
- An Ideas for Specifications (New Work Proposals) tab/dashboard has been added to the left of the In Development tab.
- New work proposal details pages contain support functionality and tracking.
- New work proposal notifications and milestones are all automated.
- Review task documents are now visible and downloadable.
- Full-screen view has been added to committee Reviews & Tasks grid.

What’s New
Spec Workspace (Version 1.1)
This release adds critical new functionality that will enable workgroups and committees to fully adopt Specification Workspace for all in development specification work. Critical new functionality includes the ability to have different named versions of documents, to designate a “current” version of a document, to access Documents and Reviews modules within each committee and workgroup workspace and to view a listing of all reviewed and approved specification PDFs. This release also includes numerous usability enhancements and other changes that will make Spec Workspace easier to use.
- Documents and Reviews modules have been added to all committee and group workspaces.
- A Group Projects in Development list has been added to each group workspace.
- A Container option has been added to each Documents module, allowing users to organize versions of a document with different names.
- Reviewed/Approved Specifications view has been added to the In Development dashboard. This view replaces the New & Enhanced Specifications report on bluetooth.com.
- A Show/Hide toggle has been added to the instructions area at the top of the In Development dashboard.
- In the Document module of all projects, the Committee Reviews tab has been renamed Reviewed Documents.
- All notifications have been enhanced and standardized to include project and document names in the email subject line, as well as instructions, key links and submitter/reviewer comments in the email body.
- For enhancement projects, certain phase tabs have been disabled (grayed-out) based on whether the project is a specification version or a feature.
