Note: We reserve the right to discontinue support for any previous version of PTS at any time.
We highly recommend that you use the latest version of PTS that can be downloaded here.
Due to security updates, older versions of PTS can only be activated via the offline method.
The steps below can help you activate PTS v7.6.2 or older:
1.
In the PTS Activation Wizard, select 'No' for 'Are you connected to the Internet?' and then click 'Next'.
This will allow you to proceed to the offline activation.
Important: Remain connected to the internet until you receive the 'key.txt' file from step 3 below.
2. Copy your activation code from the PTS Activation Wizard and paste it into the activation webpage which can be found here.
3. Paste the activation code from the PTS Activation Wizard into the activation webpage here and click 'submit'.
4. After clicking 'Submit', you will be asked to save a file. Save the file in the user directory of your PTS installation, 'C:\Users\
username\AppData\Roaming\Bluetooth_SIG\ProfileTuningSuite_6\', and name it "key.txt.
- Note 1: Replace username with the username of the user that installed PTS
- Note 2: If you are unable to locate the C:\Users\username\AppData directory on your computer, please make sure the folder View Options has "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" selected.
5. Restart PTS. At this point, you can disconnect from the internet, but it is not required.
