[Retired] TCRL 2020-1 Host Updates for LE Audio

TCRL Release 2020-1 is available for qualification starting on December 22, 2020, and introduces several updates to the qualification requirements necessary to enable qualification for new designs supporting LE Audio.

The updated requirements may impact new qualifications, and whether members need to incorporate updates will depend on whether their qualification is intended for use with LE Audio specifications. Please see each section below for more information:

Qualifications intended for use with LE Audio specifications

If you are using an existing design that was qualified prior to the release of TCRL 2020-1, it may need to be updated. The update may be incorporated in any of the following ways:

  • Implementing applicable changes and executing any new or updated test cases
  • Ask your supplier to complete a reassessment based on the updated qualification requirements
  • Request that your supplier provides test evidence for any new test cases that must be executed

Please download and refer to TCRL 2020-1 for detailed information on LE Audio-related TS and ICS updates.

Qualifications not intended for use with LE Audio related specifications

Any qualification referring to TCRL 2020-1 that uses the affected layers and IS NOT intended for use with LE Audio-related specifications can either incorporate the applicable updates or submit the qualification with the consistency errors in the Launch Studio connected to the TCW referenced in TCRL 2020-1. Please add the TCW in the “Notes” section during the “Review & Submit” step in Launch Studio.
