Troubleshooting Profile Tuning Suite (PTS) Dual-mode Dongle Issues

In some cases, you may experience issues getting your dongle driver working, depending on your computer’s configuration. If you are having dongle/driver issues, please try the following steps:
  • Ensure your dongle is plugged directly into your computer, not into a USB hub or extender
  • Restart your computer with the dongle plugged in
  • Refer to the Getting Started section on the PTS Help page, which is accessed from the menu bar or the PTS Start pageKBAdongle1.png
  •  Be sure that you are checking the box “Delete the driver software for this device”KBAdongle2.png
  • If Windows encounters problems installing the driver, see the following article:

  • Use the dongle on another computer to help determine whether the dongle is defective or not
  • Properly installed drivers will display in the Device Manager as shown in the image belowKBAdongle3.png
