      Which Bluetooth versions support mesh networking? Can I upgrade existing products that use Bluetooth technology?

      Mesh networking operates on Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) and is compatible with the Core Specification version 4.0 or later version.

      Only products that are designed to be upgradable can be enhanced in the field to support mesh networking. Upgradability is determined by several factors, such as the amount of memory available in the Bluetooth chip.
