Reassessment

What is Reassessment?

Reassessment is the process of assessing a previously qualified Component (Tested) product type listing to the latest qualification requirements. Reassessment allows the listing owner to indicate support for any Expedited Erratum introduced in Test Case Reference Lists (TCRLs) released after the Component was initially qualified. It will also provide up-to-date test evidence for any of the Component listing owner's customers who may be integrating that Component into their designs. Reassessment will allow those customers to continue to reference that test evidence in their qualifications.

How Does a Member Perform a Reassessment?

The request must follow the guidelines below.

Eligibility

  1. The product types of a qualified design must be Component (Tested)
  2. Must not be implementing any Deprecated Or Withdrawn Specifications

Requesting Reassessment

  1. Submit a support request so a Bluetooth® Qualification Administrator (BQA) can unlock the project for reassessment
  2. Once the BQA has confirmed that the project is unlocked, navigate to Draft Projects and locate the project to reassess
  3. Select the latest TCRL and continue to ICS Selection. No other changes are permitted. Incorporating additional features requires obtaining a new Qualified Design ID (QDID) and the payment of a Declaration fee.
  4. Run the Consistency Check report and resolve any invalid errors
  5. Proceed to the Testing tab and download the updated Test Plan

Reassessment Guidelines

  1. For each TCRL released between the current Assessment date and the latest TCRL, evaluate and identify all test cases impacted by technical Test Set Errata (TSE). All test cases impacted by a technical TSE (categorized as an impact rating of 3 or higher) will need to be re-executed.
  2. Any new active test cases introduced since the last Assessment will need to be executed.

Submission

  1. Navigate to the Test Documentation tab in Launch Studio and upload the completed test declaration (Test Plan) and any relevant/supporting test reports
  2. Proceed to the Product Declaration and update the Reference Integration Notes (RIN) if any updates are required. No other changes are permitted.
  3. Once the required documents have been submitted, use the existing Support Request previously submitted to inform the BQA that the reassessment is completed. A BQA will review and update the Assessment Date for your qualification to the reassessment approval date.

To request a reassessment or any questions about the process, please file a support request.
